Takulandirani! You will be welcomed by our guide at Lilongwe International Airport and drive straight to Nkhotakota where you will spend your first 2 nights at Bua River Lodge. The Lodge offers beautiful, en-suite, tented accommodations of high standards. Nkhotakota Wildlife Reserve is one of the largest and oldest reserves in Malawi just about 3hrs drive from Lilongwe. The Reserve has a vast network of rivers, running through its dense forests of Miombo trees, dambos and riverine vegetation. Activities here include Game drives, birding (over 280 bird species) and bushwalking.

On the 3rd day, we leave Bua River Lodge and drive to Chelinda Lodge which is located in the heart of Nyika Plateau within Nyika National Park. The lodge is nestled in the alpine highlands of the park where you have a view of rolling hills. It gets cold in the evening and hence warm clothes are recommended to supplement the provided fireplaces. Here you will enjoy several activities that include bush walks, mountain biking, birding and game drives.

Our next day will be spent here at Matamba Equestrian. The Stables Guest House has luxury rooms for visitors wanting something a little different than the usual beachside experience. Activities here include horse riding through a forest, farmland villages and golden beaches ending with an unforgettable experience of swimming with your horse in Lake Malawi.

Today you will be transferred from Kande Horse marking the end of your tour with the last night spent at Africa House in the city of Lilongwe. The guest house is located just about 23km away from the airport.
